32 Different Deck Combinations

Decks are built using one or more of the five colors of mana. White, Blue, Black, Red, and Green each color representing different philosophies and playstyles. These colors can be combined in various ways to create unique strategies. There are 32 distinct color identities: 5 mono color, 10 two color, 10 three color, 5 four color, 1 five color, and 3 colorless variants. Here’s a breakdown of the different decks you can build.

Monocolor (5 total)

Mono Colored

White (W): Order, protection, life gain, tokens.

Blue (U): Control, counterspells, card draw.

Black (B): Sacrifice, discard, reanimation.

Red (R): Aggression, direct damage, chaos.

Green (G): Growth, big creatures, mana ramp.



Two-Color Guilds (10 total)



Azorius (WU): Control, flying, law.

Dimir (UB): Mill, stealth, manipulation.

Rakdos (BR): Aggro, chaos, sacrifice.

Gruul (RG): Aggressive creatures, smash.

Selesnya (GW): Tokens, lifegain, harmony.

Orzhov (WB): Draining life, graveyard recursion.

Izzet (UR): Spellslinging, tempo.

Golgari (BG): Graveyard synergy, decay.

Boros (RW): Fast creatures, combat tricks.

Simic (GU): +1/+1 counters, growth.




Three-Color Shards and Wedges (10 total)

Bant (GWU): Defense, buffs, harmony.

Esper (WUB): Artifacts, control.

Grixis (UBR): Reanimator, spells, sacrifice.

Jund (BRG): Aggro, devour, food chain.

Naya (RGW): Big creatures, ramp.

Abzan (WBG): Resilience, +1/+1 counters.

Jeskai (URW): Tempo, prowess.

Sultai (BGU): Mill, reanimation.

Mardu (RWB): Aggro, sacrifice, speed.

Temur (GUR): Ramp, big spells.



Four-Color (5 total)
